Frequently Asked Questions - Cosmetic Injectables

What are anti-wrinkle treatments?

They are used to reduce lines in the upper and lower face. They have a protein that causes the muscle being injected to relax, causing a smoothing effect on the face.

How quickly do I see results?

You can expect to see results within just 1-2days following treatment. These results will continue to develop for up to 14 days.

How long will it last?

The effects will usually last up to 3-4 months. With regular treatments, you can expect to see your results last longer.

What happens if I do not continue with treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatments relax on the muscles beneath the lines where the product has been injected. The muscles responsible for other movements in your face stay active.  If you have no other treatments or do not continue with treatments the muscles return to normal and the lines will gradually return to how they looked before treatment.

Are there any side effects?

The injections are usually well tolerated, however, as with any medication, side effects can occur. These include; pain, burning or stinging, bruising, swelling or redness at the injection site. Rarely, effects can include drooping eyelids or eyebrows, swollen eyelids, itching or aching forehead and headaches can occur.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime. The average treatment can take as little as 10 minutes to complete. You can return to normal daily activities straight away.
